Parents Can Make a Difference

Rita Oates, a former GLEF faculty associate, discusses parental involvement in education. Oates directed computer and technology activities in Florida's Dade County Public Schools, the fourth-largest school district in the United States, for more than seven years. Drawing from her experiences in that 300,000-student district, she will talk about how parents can get involved in their children's education.
